About

My kids have food allergies, but that's not what this blog is about.  It's about so much more.

It's about time with family and friends spent around the dinner table.

It's about the sense of calm that comes from stirring a pot of risotto or sauteing an onion.

It's about the senses.  The fresh smell of basil & garlic on the fingertips. The taste red wine on the lips. The warmth of a hot oven.  The sound of mushrooms caramelizing in butter.

It's about food to nourish our bodies and our souls.

It's about the art of a well-cooked meal.

It's about savouring.

It's about quality, and finding beauty in the everyday.

It's about teaching my children to eat well, and respect their food,  food allergies or not.

It's about creating memories in the kitchen.  Memories that I hope will long outlive me.

So yes, my recipes are all free of peanuts, tree nuts, shell fish and melon, but they are full of so much more! These are the tales from my Colorado kitchen.

Thanks for visiting!  Bon Appétit!

  1. Food allergy is an abnormal response to a food triggered by your body's immune system. The best way to treat food allergy is to avoid the foods that trigger your allergy. If there is anyone who is suffering from food allergy, consult with Board Certified Allergists in Miami, FL.
